Bringing Amravati's hospitals into compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act โ starting with how patient photos, videos, and testimonials are consented to, archived, and withdrawn.
Most hospitals collect patient photos and stories for marketing with nothing more than a line buried in an admission form. It isn't specific, it isn't informed, and if a patient ever wants their photo taken down, there's usually no real process โ it depends on who happens to answer the phone.
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 changes what's acceptable here, and its full obligations become enforceable on 13 May 2027. I built and deployed a working alternative at Deshmukh Eye Hospital first, and I'm now working to bring the same system to every hospital in Amravati before that deadline arrives.
"If a hospital can't prove what a patient actually agreed to, it isn't consent โ it's a signature."
A digital consent form feeds directly into an automated archive โ no paper, no manual filing, and no ambiguity about what a patient agreed to.
Patients choose exactly what they allow โ photo, video, or testimonial โ not a blanket clause.
The consent form runs in English and Marathi, so agreement is genuinely informed.
Every signed consent is filed instantly by patient name, MRD number, and date โ no manual filing.
Any record is retrieved in seconds, replacing a drawer of paper nobody can search.
A named Data Protection Officer can revoke and take down content within 3 working days.
A written standard operating procedure governs exactly how staff are allowed to use patient content.
A privacy system only works if the hospital running it can actually keep it running. This one is designed to survive contact with a small clinic's reality.
Runs on tools most clinics already have โ no new software licenses or dedicated infrastructure required.
Built so hospital staff โ not engineers โ can operate it day to day, from signing a patient to actioning a withdrawal.
The system is live and running. The next phase is bringing it to every hospital in Amravati, one conversation at a time.
The pilot and proof of concept โ live in production across all 3 sites since 2026.
Now starting conversations with other private hospitals and clinics across Amravati.
Every hospital in Amravati DPDP-compliant well ahead of the 13 May 2027 deadline.
Connected to Deshmukh Eye Hospital, where this system was designed, built, and deployed end-to-end โ the SOP, the consent design, and the backend that files and retrieves every record automatically.
If you're a hospital administrator, doctor, or clinic owner and want to see how this could work for your practice, let's talk.
